about

I’m Rayen Karmani, a Tunisian software developer and product builder. I design and engineer digital products from concept through deployment, with a focus on useful systems that can survive real users, real infrastructure, and continuous change.

I do not treat design and engineering as separate stages. Product strategy, information architecture, interface hierarchy, system design, implementation, deployment, and iteration all shape the same experience. A technically correct feature is not finished if it makes the product harder to understand.

My work spans full-stack web engineering, React Native and Expo mobile development, Python and FastAPI backends, PostgreSQL and Redis data systems, REST and real-time APIs, authentication, authorization, payments, search, and role-aware interfaces.

I have practical experience operating products on Cloudflare, Railway, Neon, and Upstash, including custom domains, DNS, SSL, environment configuration, monitoring, store distribution, Android builds, Gradle, ADB, EAS, and Google Play testing workflows.

I care about interfaces that are visually coherent but not decorative for their own sake. I prefer reusable systems over duplicated solutions, meaningful information over engagement mechanics, and simple flows over complexity that only makes a product appear more advanced.

My current interests include education technology, financial technology, payment infrastructure, developer platforms, APIs, SaaS, mobile applications, distributed web systems, software performance, and the digital infrastructure available to Tunisian businesses and developers.

The standard I aim for is straightforward: useful, simple, reusable, efficient, maintainable, and production-oriented. Deployment, security, monitoring, distribution, and real-world operation are part of engineering from the beginning, not tasks reserved for the end.
